FeliCa RF性能検定とは
FeliCa製品は1996年の出荷開始以来、電子マネーサービス等の様々なサービスに利用されています。
それらのサービスでは、多くの種類のカード/携帯電話とリーダライタの組み合わせで製品を使用される状況が多くなっています。
FeliCa製品はアナログRFでカード/携帯電話とリーダライタ間の通信を行っていますが、どのような製品の組み合わせでも通信ができるようにすることが大変重要です。
そのため、FeliCaに対応するカード、携帯電話、リーダライタにおけるアナログRFの相互接続性確保を目的として、FeliCa RF性能検定を実施しています。
FeliCa RF性能検定には3つの種類があります。
- カード製品を対象とする「カードRF性能検定」
- リーダライタ製品を対象とする「リーダライタRF性能検定」
- モバイル製品を対象とする「モバイルFeliCa RF性能検定」
FeliCa RF性能検定の目的
本検定は、FeliCaに対応する製品に共通の通信性能基準を設けて、製品間の相互接続性を高める仕組みを作ることにより、サービス事業者、エンドユーザーが安心してFeliCaを利用したサービスを享受できることを目的としています。
合格のメリット
基準を満たしていると判断された製品に対しては、「検定合格証明書」が発行されます。メーカーは、この合格の事実を対外的にホームページなどで公表、カタログなどへの記載、表示することができます。加えて、合格製品は本サイトにおいて公表することができます。
FeliCa RF性能検定の位置づけ
検定の結果として合格したことは、対象製品の全てにおいて合格していることを意味するものではありません。対象製品の製造バラつきや製造後の経時変化等に関することは、各メーカーの規定に従うものとします。また、全ての温度、湿度を確認しているものではありません。
製品保証は、各メーカーが独自に定めた規定で保証するものとします。

Explanation of FeliCa RF performance certification
FeliCa products have been used for various services such as electronic money services since shipping began in 1996. Many of these services use products in many types of card/mobile phone and reader/writer combinations.
FeliCa products communicate between cards/mobile phones and reader/writers using analogue RF, but it is very essential to be able to communicate with any combination of products.
Therefore, we conduct FeliCa RF performance certification with the aim of ensuring the interconnectivity of analogue RF in cards, mobile phones, and reader/writers compatible with FeliCa.
There are three types of FeliCa RF performance certification.
- “Card RF Performance Certification” for Card Products
- “Reader/Writer RF Performance Certification " for Reader/Writer products
- "Mobile FeliCa RF Performance Certification " for mobile products
Objective of FeliCa RF performance certification
The certification test is intended to establish shared communication performance standards for FeliCa equipment and to create a mechanism for enhancing interconnectivity between FeliCa equipment. The overriding purpose of the certification test is to enable service providers and end users to receive the full benefit of services using FeliCa technology with assurance.
Merit of acceptance
A "Pass Certificate" is issued for products that are judged to meet the criteria. Manufacturers can disclose the facts of this pass on their websites and describe and display them on their catalogs. In addition, passing products can be announced at this site.
Positioning of FeliCa RF Performance certification
Achieving passing results in the certification test does not mean that all of the products in the same product series have been tested and have passed the certification test. Variations in the manufacture of the target products and changes in the time after manufacture shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's regulations. In addition, not all temperatures and humidity have been checked.
Warranties on the products tested shall conform to the warranty conditions originally established by the individual manufacturers.
